Some types of insurance are very simple in their design, for example life insurance is very straightforward: it pays out of you die, it doesn’t if you live. Although this type of cover is often essential to protect your family the product chosen will be price and budget sensitive.

Critical Illness Cover, on the other hand, is a different story. Different providers offer vastly differing benefits and options within their policies which are designed to fit many different needs. For instance the number of critical illnesses covered can vary from 27 (normally at the cheaper end of the market) to 154 illnesses which clearly offers you and your family a higher level of protection and peace of mind.

With certain insurance providers you are more likely to make a successful claim than others but to find and benefit from these policies you really need an independent adviser to help you.
